Dr Beryl Fabian
Dr Beryl Fabian is a registered clinical psychologist with
over seven years experience working within the public
sector and more recently in private practice. She is
skilled in both the psychological and neuropsychological
assessment of adults and older adults experiencing a
range of psychological problems including mood and
memory disorders. She provides individual therapy to
clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss,
difficulty adjusting to life events, interpersonal problems,
sleep and chronic health problems. Therapeutic
interventions are tailored to suit clients' needs, drawing
on evidence based models including Cognitive Behaviour
Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Problem Solving Therapy, and Brief
Solution Focused Therapy. Beryl regularly facilitates group therapy programmes for clients with anxiety
and depression. She is a member of the Psychological Society of New Zealand and a special interest
group, the New Zealand Psychologists of Older Adults.
Dr Maia Eremin
Maia is skilled in psychological assessment and treatment of adults and older adults presenting with a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, adjustment to stressful life events, relationship problems, grief and bereavement etc. In her practice as clinical psychologist, Maia draws on Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Schema Therapy, Cognitive Analytic (CAT), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) and other mindfulness-based treatment approaches assisting clients and their families to achieve positive change. Maia’s subspecialty is psychological assessment and treatment of older adults. She is a full member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists and a member of NZPOPs (New Zealand Psychologists of Older People), a specialist professional body of psychologists and health professionals working in older adult psychology.
